The Team

Steven Morgan

Steven Morgan

(MBBS, BSc, MRCS, FRCR)

Steve has been a Consultant Spinal Radiologist at Southmead Hospital in Bristol since 2012 following completion of radiology training in the Severn Deanery programme.  In 2015, he undertook a fellowship in complex spine augmentation having been awarded the Kodak Educational Bursary by the Royal College of Radiologists.

Steve is part of a large general radiology team at Southmead hospital, the regional center for major trauma and complex orthopaedic spinal surgery and neurosurgery.  As part of his role, Steve is an integral member of the spine multidisciplinary team (MDT), complex palliative pain meeting and regional spine MDT.

Steve’s primary passion is spinal intervention, comprising both complex work: including spine tumour ablation and augmentation (vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty), in addition to pain procedures/injections and biopsy.  The complex spine intervention service at Southmead hospital continues to grow and has become both a regional and national referral unit and is the busiest spine ablation service in the UK.

Steve has established and leads several spine intervention courses at Southmead hospital every year and is dedicated to training others.
